Hispano-Suiza is the world’s leading supplier of power transmissions for mainline commercial jets (over 100 seats), with a market share exceeding 50%. Calling on our proven expertise in design, development and production, we supply power transmissions (also known as accessory gearboxes) for all types of aircraft: regional and business jets, single-aisle and widebody commercial jets, military transport and combat aircraft, and helicopters.

Since the founding of the company we have built up broad technological expertise, recognized worldwide, in mechanical power transmissions based on geartrains. This expertise has led to our selection on a number of new aircraft programs, including the Airbus A350 XWB commercial jet, Gulfstream G650 business jet, A400M military transport and EC175 helicopter.

We take full responsibility for power transmission production, from design and development to manufacture and support. We work with our customers, whether engine manufacturers or airframers, right from the initial design studies to make sure we meet their exact requirements. By working as a team, we can produce power transmissions that offer the best overall combination of cost, weight and volume – the three critical factors in today’s aviation market.

Hispano-Suiza also deploys the full range of design and test equipment needed to develop high-performance power transmissions, especially altitude and endurance test rigs.

Our state-of-the-art production facilities allow us to produce the complex casings that house the mechanical equipment, and the gears that actually transmit the power.

We have set up a truly international supply chain, along with a subsidiary in Poland to produce gears, bearing supports and casings, enabling us to offer our customers very cost-effective solutions.
