Hispano-Suiza delivers first accessory gearbox for Rolls-Royce BR725 engine, to power Gulfstream G650
Colombes, April 3rd, 2008
Hispano-Suiza has delivered to Rolls-Royce the first accessory gearbox (AGB) for the new BR725 engine, designed to power large, high-end business jets.
The first application for this new engine will be the Gulfstream G650, the latest corporate jet in this family. Rolls-Royce chose Hispano-Suiza to supply the AGB due to its ability to meet market requirements in terms of technology, dispatch reliability and competitiveness. “This is the latest success story in our long-standing relationship with Rolls-Royce,” said Olivier Horaist, Chairman of Hispano-Suiza.
Certification of the Rolls-Royce BR725 engine is scheduled for 2009, with service entry of the Gulfstream G650 corporate jet in 2012.
